For a connection to be made, Oqea requires mutual acceptanceof consent; both the provider and the member, or member and supporter mustagree to connect. There are a number of pathways for a connection to be madeand the first step can be taken by either party and will be explored in the following.
Please note: If your provider has outlined their preferred method, pleasefollow the steps provided by them.
Connection initiated by you:
You will search the Oqea marketplace and send a provider or supporter a request toconnect. The provider or supporter will then be prompted to accept or decline when they are next logged in to their Oqea platform.

o You will then select the orange + icon in the top right corner and thenchoose from: ‘Invite Oqea Provider’, ‘Invite Non-OqeaProvider’ or ‘Invite Supporter’

§ When inviting a Non-Oqea Providerthey will be contacted by us to sign up to the platform.
§ When inviting a supporter, youwill add their details and they will be prompted to accept if they are anexisting Oqea member, If they are not yet registered them will receive aninvitation to register with the platform after which will be followed with your request to connect.
Tips:
1. If you are looking for a new provider, you can search the Oqea marketplace by a keyword such as sleep, anxiety, nutrition, etc. Our algorithms can display health professionals inrelated fields allowing you to assess their profiles and decide on an optionthat best suits you.
2. If you search your providers name and cannot find them. Please check thatyou are not already connected with them; from the ‘Home’ menu (bottom left corner) swipe through the ‘YourSupport’ section to see allof the current providers and supports you are connected with.
Your provider may direct you to scan their Unique QR code (Quick Connect) which willeasily guide you to connect with them.
o Upon scanning, you will be guided to login and directly prompted to send aconnection request to the provider. If you do not yet have an Oqea account you will be guided to select ‘register now’, sign-up and then be directly prompted tosend a connection request to you.
