The Oqea app is the most popular access for members, however, it is not the only option. You can log into your Oqea account from your computer or other device via the Oqea.me web browser. Click the following URL to do so: https://oqea.me/#/login
Follow the Oqea guide to begin your wellbeing journey. You will be prompted to outline your focus areas, start tracking your mood, learn the app interface, menu items and crisis button before the opportunity to invite friends or family to join your support network and share in your journey.
As a member of Oqea you can connect and communicate with your healthcare providers, friends and family. Once you are connected to a provider, they will be able to view your member profile, communicate with you, have in-person or telehealth consultations and collaborate with other providers in your support team amongst many other things. Additionally, connecting with a supporter (friends, family, etc.) will allow you to share information and include them in parts of your wellbeing journey that you would like them to be involved with.
For a connection to be made, Oqea requires mutual acceptance of consent; both the provider and the member, or member and supporter must agree to connect. There are a number of pathways for a connection to be made and the first step can be taken by either party and will be explored in the following.
Please note: If your provider has outlined their preferred method, please follow the steps provided by them.
Connection initiated by you:
You will search the Oqea marketplace and send a provider or supporter a request toconnect. The provider or supporter will then be prompted to accept or decline when they are next logged in to their Oqea platform.
o From your Oqea app select the ‘Messaging’ menu from the bottom right-hand corner.
o You will then select the orange + icon in the top right corner and then choose from: ‘Invite Oqea Provider’, ‘Invite Non-Oqea Provider’ or ‘Invite Supporter’
o When inviting an Oqea provider you can search for your provider by name and then ‘view profile’ before ‘sending an invitation’ to connect.
o When inviting a Non-Oqea Provider they will be contacted by us to sign up to the platform.
o When inviting a supporter, you will add their details and they will be prompted to accept if they are an existing Oqea member, If they are not yet registered them will receive an invitation to register with the platform after which will be followed with your request to connect.
1. If you are looking for a new provider, you can search the Oqea marketplace by a keyword such as sleep, anxiety, nutrition, etc. Our algorithms can display health professionals in related fields allowing you to assess their profiles and decide on an option that best suits you.
2. If you search your providers name and cannot find them. Please check that you are not already connected with them; from the ‘Home’ menu (bottom left corner) swipe through the ‘Your Support’ section to see all of the current providers and supports you are connected with.
Your provider may direct you to scan their Unique QR code (Quick Connect) which will easily guide you to connect with them.
Upon scanning, you will be guided to login and directly prompted to send a connection request to the provider. If you do not yet have an Oqea account you will be guided to select ‘register now’, sign-up and then be directly prompted to send a connection request to you. Alternatively, your provider may manually send you a request to connect. This request will be displayed at the top of your homepage under the ‘next actions’ section, from her you can view and accept or decline the providers request.
How to view your appointment:
If you have already booked a telehealth consultation with your Oqea healthcare provider, you can find the appointment information via the ‘Journey’ tab of the Oqea app and then select the blue ‘Events’ filter. This will display all of your Oqea appointments, past and upcoming.
Tips for your Telehealth Consultation:
When it is almost time to join a telehealth call, we suggest finding a well-lit, quiet and comfortable environment to set up your device at eye level. Please ensure your device is stable and fully charged or connected to a power source. Lastly, it is a great idea to test your device’s camera, microphone and internet connection before the consultation starts.
How to Join a Telehealth Call:
Only your provider will be able to start the telehealth consultation.
When your provider is ready, they will start the call and you will be able to join the virtual consultation room. There are a number of ways to join:
1. Join via the link sent as an SMS to your mobile number
2. Join via the link sent to your email address
3. Join via the link that will appear at the top of your homepage in the Oqea app
4. Join via the link that will appear at the top of your homepage in the Oqea web browser https://oqea.me/#/login
Please note: Your telehealth consult may not start at the exact appointment time due to the busy nature of health care provision as would any in-person consultation.
You are welcome to keep busy while you wait, just keep your phone or email notifications unmuted and nearby as to not miss when the consultation starts.
Tip: If you do find yourself waiting, we suggest using the time to pro-actively brainstorm topics or events you wish to address in your upcoming telehealth consultation.
