Donna Buckingham – Clinical Psychologist

Donna is a senior Clinical Psychologist providing effective, evidence-based psychological services with many years experience in mental health inpatient settings, specialist therapy services, Hospitals, Consultation Liaison Psychiatry teams and private practice.

Donna has experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of all major psychological disorders, including complex psychological, social and physical symptom presentations. Donna is able to assist people to navigate major life events and transitions including PTSD and complex trauma, self-harm, anxiety and mood disorders, phobias, OCD, grief and loss, chronic health conditions including chronic pain, addictive and impulsive behaviours, and work, financial and lifestyle upheaval.

Donna utilises a number of interventions including CBT, Schema Therapy, EMDR, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing and solution-focussed therapy.

Donna enjoys collaborating with individuals to fulfill goals of personal growth and development and she has a warm and engaging therapy style that can adapt readily to fit with member needs and personal preferences.

Stuart Keith – Mental Health Wellbeing Coach

Stuart is a senior Clinical Nurse with many years of experience in the field of Mental health and working through focus areas has supported clients through varying degrees of distress and discomfort on their journey to better health.

He uses a variety of approaches in dismantling dysfunctional coping strategies which can quickly evolve into justified comfort behaviors and has found the most success when helping the client align their goals with their values while all the time helping them to better understand themselves by identifying the needs that are fulfilled by current behaviors.

Stuart holds a Sports Science degree and is accredited with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) as an Exercise Scientist and understands the connection between a healthy body and a healthy mind. He uses  a non-confrontational graded approach in the introduction of exercise and sound nutrition as an integral part of sustained improvement and/or recovery.

Kevin Wernli – Physiotherapist, PhD Low Back Pain

Kevin is a physiotherapist with expertise treating persistent and complex pain. He recently completed his PhD researching how movement and posture relate to low back pain with an internationally renowned research group from Curtin University, Perth

He has published in international scientific journals, presented at national and international conferences, and is passionate about the translation of contemporary research into practice by producing infographics, videos, and podcasts. He also loves using technology to make healthcare more equitable, accessible, and effective - meaning he loves his role as research and co-design manager at Oqea.He uses a holistic, psychologically-informed physiotherapy approach that targets the unhelpful movements or postural patterns, as well as the cognition and lifestyle factors that are known to strongly influence pain.

His goal is to empower individuals to regain control of and reduce their pain during valued functional tasks, make sense of their symptoms, and improve their lifestyle to promote a healthy and healing environment. Grounded in research, this approach can be delivered in-person or online via Telehealth.
