Meet The Skill Crew

Written by Lauren Mason Oct 05, 2021

Meet The Skill Crew. The Skill Crew provide interventions for executive function challenges typical of those diagnosed with ADHD through coaching and consulting services.

What is an ADHD coach?

Coaches coactively work with you, from a non-judgemental perspective, to help you to clarify your goals, identify the obstacles holding you back, and then come up with strategies for overcoming each obstacle.

An ADHD coach has specialised training and understand that not everybody has the same perspectives and challenges. They provide appropriate strategies and insights tailored to a more nuanced approach to achieving goals to cater to the executive functioning challenges that some individuals diagnosed with ADHD experience.

The Skills Crew Coaches

Kim Dixon

Kim is an ADHD Coach and Consultant with a degree in Psychology. She is also a trained ICF Coach specialising in ADHD through ADDCA and has served on the Board of AHDWA since 2016.

Although she is fascinated by the inherent exuberance and creativity of ADHD, a background in management consulting and project management identified the importance of healthy relationships with time, organisation, planning and impulse control to get initiatives delivered.

Kim is now listed on the Oqea marketplace as an ADHD Coach and is accepting referrals. Welcome to Oqea Kim!

Vanessa Smith

Vanessa is an experienced remedial educator, trained ICF Coach specialising in ADHD, registered outcomes-based assessor, and a skilled workshop facilitator.  Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts Education degree, and focused training on specialist topics including learning delays, barriers to learning, autism and managing challenging behaviour. She is focused on the adaptions to an environment to facilitate a positive social, emotional and academic impact.

Her objective is to make every individual receptive to life and learning at each life stage. She assists parents and teachers to interact in a way that encourages constructive behaviour in children.

In adolescence and adulthood, she teaches skills to facilitate emotional self- management and approaches to successful learning to avoid overwhelm and negative outcomes.

Vanessa is now listed on the Oqea marketplace as an ADHD Coach and is accepting referrals. Welcome to Oqea Vanessa!
