‘At Salvado wellbeing and empowerment are the clinicians’ focus. Through an integrated team care approach, you can be sure that patients and their supporters will be at the centre of their journey to a better outcome.’ Murray Chapman- Consultant Psychiatrist
Frustrated with the sterile, clinical feel to many of the places they had practiced in, the Salvado founders sought to create an environment that was warm, comforting and inviting, even in the most difficult times .Unlike other specialist clinics, Salvado is furnished with colourful and comfortable furniture, and with artwork not dissimilar to those found in an art gallery. The thoughtfulness of the design is also reflected in the amenities, with access to free coffee and tea facilities, a small play area for young children and spacious waiting room areas with furniture designed to calm the senses and troubled minds.
More recently, the Salvado Doctors became members of the founding team for a new technology company called Oqea. Oqea is simultaneously a clinical tool and consumer focused App, designed to help clinicians communicate with and support their clients’ care team, and assist clients to find the resources they need, in a safe and secure digital environment. Combining telehealth services, self-care, and professional resources for mental and physical health, Oqea is the first digital platform to deliver professional and personal health support in one easy to use App. Oqea aims to heighten the level and efficiency of care in and between appointments, and also provides links to a range of online resources.
